At just 9 years old, Ryan was diagnosed with cancer. Over the next nine years he would fight it three separate times — in his kidney, his arm, and finally his brain.

Through it all, he never stopped drawing. This design is taken directly from one of his original drawings — a powerful Naruto and Sasuke piece he created while fighting for his life.

Ryan passed away at 18, but his fight and his art live on.
